ENSURE PROJECT
Emergency Responders Upskilling System for Enhanced Resilience and Innovation

2

ABOUT THE PROJECT

The ENSURE project addresses the increasingly severe impacts of climate change across Europe, particularly extreme weather events and forest fires. Emergency responders, including firefighters, search and rescue teams, and support personnel, play a pivotal role in mitigating the consequences of these disasters. The ENSURE consortium, involving 20 partners from 9 European countries, leverages a modified Quadruple Helix Innovation Model, integrating elements of Technology, Cooperation, Human Resilience, and Community Engagement. The project’s core objective is to upskill emergency responders, fostering their resilience, preparedness, and innovation capabilities through state-of-the-art training methodologies, digital tools, and community-driven practices.
